Adding Policies

In the first policy year, Premium history counts premiums instead: it is done when recorded base premium payments match the scheduled premiums already due. Loan balances that come only from statements or snapshots do not complete Loan history. PUA is not needed to complete Premium history.

A step that does not apply is not counted: Annual statements before the first policy anniversary, Premium history before the first scheduled premium is due or on a policy with no premium schedule, and Illustration on Starter, where it shows a Builder Pro label. Term and convertible term policies have no setup steps.

Nothing to Add

Annual statements, Illustration, Premium history, and Loan history offer Nothing to add, which closes the step as Not needed. Once something is recorded on the step, the same choice reads That's all I have and closes it as done, with its count. Restore reopens it. Recorded data always counts.

Where Setup Shows

• Policy saved — every step as a row, right after you add the policy.
• Policy Overview — the setup card at the top, above the metric cards. It folds to one row reading Complete when setup is done, and remembers whether you open or fold it.
• Policy Portfolio — each whole life policy card shows its setup progress, with Continue until it's done.

Each open step offers Upload (AI extract) on Builder Pro and Enter manually on every plan.

XP and Complete Record

Each setup step earns 25 XP once per policy, the first time it reads done or Not needed. The Complete Record badge unlocks the first time every counted step on one policy is done or Not needed.

Deleting a Policy

Deleting a policy is permanent. It removes the policy, the records listed in the confirmation (including beneficiaries), and its setup XP. If adding the policy created its insured in Family Coverage, they're removed too, unless edited or used elsewhere. If the policy earned Complete Record, the badge moves to the next complete policy or locks again. To keep the record, set a non-active status instead. Policies deleted before this change may still be in Recently Deleted for 30 days.
