Use Add Snapshot to record policy values from a carrier portal or statement.
Choose an Entry Path
- Manual: enter the snapshot date, Total CV or Net CV basis, loan balance, and death benefit. You may attach the source file.
- Portal screenshots: Builder Pro can read one or more images or PDFs, merge the extracted fields, and show every value for review before saving.
- Annual statement: use Add Annual Statement when recording anniversary values, dividend, and statement history. Enter it manually or use Builder Pro extraction.
Only one snapshot can exist for a policy on a given date. If that date already exists, Replace existing snapshot updates the existing record rather than creating a duplicate.
Detected Loan Activity
In current production, saving a snapshot does not silently overwrite existing tracked per-loan balances unless balance-first reconciliation is enabled for your account.
When the new carrier balance differs from recorded activity, Policy Stack may ask whether the difference represents a draw, repayment, or carrier interest. For a detected draw, choose Deployed into an asset and select the recorded asset, or choose Personal use, select a purpose category, and optionally add a note. Log draw or Log repayment records and applies that event once.
When balance-first reconciliation is enabled, the latest applicable snapshot becomes the carrier balance anchor for the policy loan. Material increases beyond expected interest create one canonical snapshot-backed draw; nominal increases are capitalized interest; decreases can be recorded as repayments. The follow-up characterizes the adjustment and never applies the same movement twice. A backdated snapshot remains historical and cannot overwrite a newer carrier reading. Add past activity can reconstruct historical draws from original and current-remaining amounts without changing the latest snapshot. When per-draw repayment allocation is also visible, a detected repayment can use the saved First in, first out (FIFO) or Equal reduction default, a one-time override, or exact dollars by draw.
