Your Public Profile
Every advisor on Policy Stack receives a dedicated public profile page at /advisors/your-slug. This is your client-facing presence — the page prospects see when they find you through the directory or when you share your direct link.
What Appears on Your Profile
Your public profile displays the following information:
- Your name and professional photo
- Company name and tagline — a one-line summary of your practice
- Bio — a short description of your background, approach, and who you work with
- Certifications and credentials — any designations you've added to your profile
- Featured Videos — YouTube, Vimeo, or Loom videos you choose to feature
- Featured resources — articles, podcasts, PDFs, or guides you've shared
- Social and contact links — website, LinkedIn, calendar booking link
- Consultation request button — clients can initiate a consultation request directly from your profile
How Clients Find You
Clients discover your profile in two ways:
- Browse the advisor directory at
/advisorsand filter by location, specialty, or name - Follow a direct link you've shared — your profile URL is permanent and shareable
Your profile URL is based on your chosen slug, set during onboarding. You can view your current slug in Settings → Practice Settings → Profile Slug. Slugs cannot be changed after your profile goes live, so choose carefully.
Visibility States
Your profile has two visibility states:
| State | Directory | Direct Link | |-------|-----------|-------------| | Visible | Listed and searchable | Accessible | | Hidden | Not listed | Still accessible via direct link |
You can toggle visibility at any time from Profile → Directory Listing.
Featured Placement
Advisors on higher-tier plans may qualify for featured placement in the directory. Featured profiles appear at the top of search results and carry a Featured badge. See Directory Listing and Visibility for details.
A complete profile — photo, bio, certifications, and a booking link — receives significantly more consultation requests than an incomplete one. Fill in every field before making your profile visible.
Profile vs. Practice Settings
Your public profile controls what clients see. Your practice settings (notification preferences, default views, business info) are internal and never appear on your public page. See Practice Settings for the internal side.
