Directory Listing and Visibility
The Policy Stack advisor directory at /advisors is a searchable listing of all advisors with visible profiles. You control whether your profile appears there and, on qualifying plans, whether it receives featured placement.
How the Directory Works
The directory lists advisor profiles sorted by relevance. Clients can:
- Search by name or keyword
- Filter by location (if you've added a city/state to your profile)
- Browse featured advisors at the top of results
Each listing card shows your photo, name, company, tagline, and a link to your full profile.
Managing Your Visibility
- Open your advisor dashboard and go to Profile
- Scroll to the Directory Listing section
- Toggle the Show in Directory switch to your preferred state
| Toggle State | Directory | Your Direct Profile URL | |-------------|-----------|------------------------| | On (Visible) | Listed and searchable | Accessible | | Off (Hidden) | Not listed | Still accessible |
Turning off directory visibility does not delete or disable your profile. Clients who already have your direct link can still access your page. Visibility only controls whether new clients can discover you through the directory.
Featured Placement
Featured advisors appear at the top of directory results and carry a Featured badge on their listing card. Featured placement is available on Practice 25+ plans.
How Featured Placement Works
- Featured slots are determined by plan tier and profile completeness
- All fields must be complete (photo, bio, at least one credential, a booking link) to qualify
- Featured placement is not guaranteed — it depends on the number of featured advisors in your region
If you're on a qualifying plan and have a complete profile, contact support to request featured status for your listing.
Directory Filters and Discoverability
To appear in filtered searches, make sure your profile includes:
- Location — city and state in Practice Settings
- Certifications — credentials appear in keyword searches
- Bio keywords — clients searching for specific terms will match against your bio text
A complete profile with clear language about who you work with will rank better in directory results than a sparse profile.
