Multi-Policy Client Management
Clients with two or more policies are building a layered banking system. Managing them requires a system-level view — not just individual policy data, but how the policies work together.
System-Level Metrics
When a client has multiple policies, the Banking tab on their profile displays aggregated system metrics:
| Metric | What It Shows | |--------|---------------| | Total CV | Snapshot-carried cash value across the shared policies | | In Use | Outstanding balance of the shared active policy loans | | Net CV | Total cash value minus total loan balance | | System LTV | In Use divided by Total CV, expressed as a percentage | | Capital at Work | Recorded principal in active shared deployments |
Actual is implicit for the recorded-only hero and policy metrics; non-Actual values remain explicitly badged. The hero uses snapshot-carried history, while policy cards use each policy's current recorded CV, so the figures can differ when snapshot history lags current policy activity. Pending Auto Log rows do not enter Actual totals until confirmed.
Managing Individual Policies Within the System
From the client's Banking tab, expand any policy card to see:
- Policy-specific snapshots (cash value, death benefit, loan balance over time)
- Its policy loan account, draws, and confirmed year-to-date repayment facts
- Premium structure (base premium, paid-up additions)
- Carrier and policy issue date
Identifying Multi-Policy Clients
Use the Smart List condition Policy Count Greater Than 1 to build a dynamic list of all multi-policy clients. Combine with other conditions for more specific segments:
- Policy Count Greater Than 2 AND System Phase is Utilizing — clients with mature, active banking systems
- Policy Count Greater Than 1 AND Engagement Band is Low — multi-policy clients who may need a check-in
Multi-policy clients often benefit from annual reviews that address the system as a whole rather than reviewing each policy in isolation. Use the system-level metrics as the starting point for review conversations.
