Your Client List
The client list at Practice → Clients is your practice's home base. Every household — connected, seated, or just in your CRM — appears here, with badges that tell you the state of each relationship at a glance.
What the Banner Tells You
The banner across the top shows household and client counts alongside seat utilization. One household = one billing unit (and one shared dataset between up to two users). Advisors operate at the household level — when you see a row, it represents the household.
Connection States
Each client row carries a state badge:
- Connected — the client accepted your connection invitation; the link is active. Data-sharing is a separate consent the client controls scope by scope (see What "Connected" Means).
- Pending — you sent an invitation; the client hasn't accepted or declined yet.
- Seated — you're paying for the client's Builder Pro access. Seated and Connected are independent — a client can be Seated without you having data-sharing on every category.
- Not Invited — the client lives in your CRM (manually added or CSV-imported) but you haven't sent an invitation. No account, no pending invite — just a CRM record.
Both Connected and Seated badges can appear on the same row when they apply.
Adding a Client
Click Add Client to open a dialog with two CTAs:
- Invite directly to a seat — for clients you're ready to put on Builder Pro now. Optionally override the default seat expiration just for this invitation.
- Add to CRM, invite later — for contacts you want to track before reaching out. They land as Not Invited.
Filtering Your Client List
The filter bar lets you narrow by:
| Filter | Options | |--------|---------| | State | Connected, Pending, Seated, Not Invited, All | | Engagement | High, Medium, Low, None | | Pipeline stage | Any configured stage | | Assigned To | Any team member | | Tag | Any tags you've applied | | Policy Count | Has policies, No policies |
Filters stack — combine "Seated" + "Low Engagement" to surface clients who may need a follow-up.
Save frequently used filter combinations as Smart Lists for one-click access. See Smart Lists Overview for setup.
Sorting
Click any column header to sort. Useful sorts:
- Last Active — who's been logging in recently
- Engagement Score — who may need attention
- Policy Count — who has the most complete data
- Name — alphabetical, useful for large books
Searching
The live search bar matches across first name, last name, and email. Results update as you type.
Quick Actions from the List
Each row has a quick-action menu (three dots):
- View the full profile
- Add a note
- Set a reminder
- Move to a different pipeline stage
- Invite (if Not Invited) or Resend (if Pending)
- Assign or revoke a seat
- Delete the CRM profile (does not revoke active connections or seats — those end through their own dialogs)
CSV Export
Export your entire client list to CSV from the actions menu. The export is a point-in-time snapshot of the table with current filters applied.
