Policy Stack includes an AI assistant for product help, whole life banking education, and, on Builder Pro, questions and confirmed record updates grounded in your banking system.
Open the Assistant
Use AI Assistant in the navigation for the full-page conversation, or open the assistant panel while working elsewhere in Policy Stack. Both surfaces use the same private conversation.
Sample prompts appear when the conversation is empty. Type a question in plain language and the response streams into the conversation.
What You Can Ask
Concepts and Terminology
- "How does a policy loan differ from a bank loan?"
- "What does Capital Velocity measure?"
- "What is the difference between Base premium and paid-up additions?"
Policy Stack How-To Questions
- "How do I record a policy snapshot?"
- "Where can I see premium history for one policy?"
- "How do I open the Policy Loan Repayment Modeler?"
Questions About Your Records (Builder Pro)
- "What is my current Net CV?"
- "Which policies have stale snapshots?"
- "How much income is recorded for my real estate asset?"
- "What is the balance on my policy loan?"
Help Mode and Full Mode
Help Mode (Starter)
Starter uses Help Mode. The assistant can explain concepts and Policy Stack features, but it cannot read or change account data. If a question requires account data, the response identifies that boundary.
Full Mode (Builder Pro)
Full Mode can read the policies, snapshots, policy loans, CVLOCs, assets, promissory notes, cash flows, and system metrics available to your account. It can use those records to answer specific factual questions.
Full Mode can also prepare these record changes:
- Save one or more policy snapshots
- Record an asset cash flow
- Record a promissory-note payment and its routing
- Record a policy-loan repayment
- Create an asset
- Create a CVLOC record
Confirmation Before Any Change
The assistant never writes one of those changes immediately. It first shows a confirmation card with the proposed values. The record is written only after you explicitly confirm it.
You can reject the card or revise the request instead. A response in chat is not itself permission to change a record.
Confirmation applies to Policy Stack records only. The assistant cannot move money, contact a carrier or lender, submit a payment, or change an external account.
Boundaries
- No financial advice — the assistant does not choose an option, prescribe timing, or evaluate a decision as good or bad
- No carrier access — it cannot retrieve a statement or verify a carrier's current records
- No unconfirmed changes — account mutations require the confirmation card
- No policy creation — it can create a tracked CVLOC account, but adding an insurance policy remains a guided Policy Stack flow. Policy-loan and CVLOC activity is recorded as draws in the Loans workspace.
- No live market data — answers use Policy Stack knowledge and the records available in your account
Conversation History and Privacy
Policy Stack stores one rolling AI conversation for each authenticated user so the conversation reloads across pages and sessions. Conversation content is encrypted at rest and scoped to that user's account; household collaborators have separate private threads.
Use Clear conversation to delete your stored thread and return the assistant to its empty state.
Get More Precise Answers
- Name the policy, loan, asset, or note you mean
- Include a date or period when asking about changes
- Ask one focused question at a time
- Review every value on a confirmation card before approving a record change
If the assistant gives a general answer when you expected account-specific data, check the mode shown in the assistant. Help Mode cannot access banking-system records.
