Some carriers don't mail a loan accounting statement — instead, their online portal has a "Transaction Activity" page listing every payment and loan alongside each other. Import from portal history reads a screenshot of that page and records the loan rows for you, without you needing to type them in.
This is a separate entry point from Import statement, which reads a mailed PDF instead. Use whichever matches what your carrier actually gives you — some households never see a portal page, others never see a mailed statement.
You'll find it on the Loans page: expand a policy's row, and Import from portal history sits next to Import statement. Importing requires Builder Pro.
Only loan rows are imported here
A portal transaction history page usually mixes premium payments and loan activity in one list. This importer reads the whole screenshot but only ever records the loan rows — capital you drew against the policy. Premium rows on the same screenshot are read and recorded separately, through premium history import, so nothing on the page goes unaccounted for and nothing gets recorded twice.
Each row is checked against its own numbers
Unlike a mailed statement, a portal transaction page doesn't print a running balance you can check a row against. So each row is verified against its own posted figures instead — the amount actually printed for that transaction. A row that doesn't check out is shown why, and it can't be checked for import; everything else on the screenshot can still go through.
Review before recording
Nothing is recorded until you check the rows you want and confirm. Each checked, verified row becomes one recorded loan against the policy's balance.
Undoing an import
Every import can be reversed from the same screen with Undo this import. It backs out the loan events it recorded, leaving the rest of your history untouched.
