Household

Household is the term for the personal or family unit within which a whole life banking system operates. In Policy Stack, a household corresponds to a user account — your policies, loans, deployments, and goals collectively represent your household's banking system.

The term "household" reflects the nature of whole life banking: it is typically a family-scale financial strategy, not just an individual one. A practitioner may hold policies on their own life, their spouse's life, and even their children's lives — all of which contribute to the household banking system.

Policy Stack uses "household" in place of "account" or "organization" in contexts that describe the user's banking system as a whole — for example, "your household's system position" rather than "your account balance."

This framing is intentional: it positions the banking system as a family financial infrastructure rather than a personal investment account.

Partner Collaboration

One household can include up to two users on Builder Pro. The primary invites a partner from Settings → Collaboration; once accepted, both users share full access. The collaboration moves through four states: pending (invite sent), active (accepted, both share access), grace (Builder Pro lapsed — partner keeps access for a 30-day window; reactivating Builder Pro inside the window restores active), and removed (grace expired, or primary disconnected the partner manually for immediate removal with no grace). Activity-log attribution survives removal — the partner's display name stays on every entry they touched.
