Connected Client
A connected client is a Policy Stack user who has an active advisor connection — their account is linked to a specific advisor's practice. Connected clients appear in the advisor's client list and occupy an advisor seat.
Clients become connected in one of two ways:
- Advisor invite — the advisor sends an invitation and the client accepts
- Client request — a client requests to connect with a specific advisor (if the advisor has this enabled)
A connected client's data remains their own — they control their account and can disconnect from an advisor at any time. The advisor has read access to the client's dashboard data to support their practice.
Connected status can end if the client disconnects, if the advisor disconnects them, or if the advisor's account enters a frozen state.
