Practice Team Members
Team members are people who help operate your practice workspace: practice managers, assistants, associate advisors, or other staff. They use their own login, work inside your practice context, and do not receive access to your personal banking system.
Team members are practice operators. They can work client-seat and practice workflows, but they do not own the practice subscription.
What Team Members Can Do
Active team members can:
- View the practice dashboard, clients, pipeline, scenarios, smart lists, and workflows they have access to
- Add clients and prospects to the practice pipeline
- Create deals and scenarios for practice work
- Add notes, reminders, and activity to client records
- Review consultation requests, send and manage client review requests, and manage practice reviews
- View referral activity and scenario-handoff readiness
- Read and update practice scheduling preferences such as the practice timezone
- Invite clients to advisor-paid seats
- Resend, cancel, revoke, assign, and extend client seats
- Update default client-seat duration and the default invitation message
What Stays Owner-Only
Some actions remain limited to the practice owner or a team admin:
- Invite, resend, cancel, remove, or manage practice team members
- Change team-member roles
- Manage advisor billing, plan changes, subscription portal access, overflow billing, or cancellation
- Edit owner-level legal, security, or danger-zone settings
Team Roles
Policy Stack uses two team roles:
| Role | What it means | | --- | --- | | Member | Can operate the practice workspace and manage client seats/invites | | Admin | Can do everything a member can do, plus manage team membership |
The practice owner always has full access. Team admins and team members share the same client-seat operating authority; the difference is team administration.
Practice Workspace Only
Team members work inside the practice or agency workspace you grant them. They do not get:
- Your personal banking-system dashboard
- Your policy, loan, asset, or goal data
- Your billing portal or card details
- A public advisor directory profile under their own name
Client Data Visibility
When a team member can open a client record, they see the practice-side information available for that client: CRM details, notes, reminders, pipeline context, scenarios, and any banking-system data the client has shared with the practice.
Client-owned data is still governed by client consent. A team member cannot use team access to see data the client has not shared with the practice.
