Invite team members from Practice Settings -> Team. The person receives an email, signs in with the invited email address, and joins your practice workspace.
Only the practice owner or a team admin can invite or manage team members.
Send an Invitation
- Open Practice Settings -> Team.
- Click Invite Team Member.
- Enter the person's work email address.
- Choose Member or Admin.
- Send the invitation.
Pending invitations appear on the Team settings page. You can resend or cancel a pending invitation before it is accepted.
What the Invitee Sees
The invitation tells them which practice they are joining. After they accept, Policy Stack asks them to confirm their display name, sets their active context to your practice workspace, and sends them to the Practice Portal. Team members do not receive a separate guided setup checklist.
The invitation email names the address the invite is bound to, and acceptance requires signing in as that account. If a different Policy Stack account is already signed in on that device, the invite page says so and offers a Continue as button naming the invited address that signs the other account out and returns to the invitation. If the invitee is new, they create their account during acceptance.
Agency Team Scope
If your Team settings page is operating under an agency scope, the invitation grants agency-wide access: an agency team member can do what any advisor in the agency can do for that advisor's own clients — view and, where a team admin, edit client records, notes, and follow-ups; load scenarios; and enter policy data — across every practice in the agency, not just the one the invitation named. Pipeline deals are the one exception: each practice's pipeline stays visible only to that practice's own team, agency-wide or not. Agency team members do not receive access to any advisor's personal banking workspace.
Resend or Cancel
Use the pending-invitation row in Practice Settings -> Team:
- Resend sends a fresh invitation email.
- Cancel closes the pending invitation. You can invite the same email again later.
