Today Queue
The Today queue is the ranked list at the center of your advisor dashboard showing what needs you before your next working session. It is the same ranked signals practitioners knew as the Morning Huddle — as of the 2026-07-12 dashboard rebuild it is the dashboard's main surface rather than a right-rail widget, and it now also carries pending client connection requests.
The “N need you” chip in the Today header is simply how many actionable rows the queue is showing. When both queue sources finish loading with no rows, it reads All clear.
How Contacts Are Ranked
The huddle selects and ranks contacts using a weighted scoring formula:
| Factor | Weight | What It Measures | |--------|--------|------------------| | Signal urgency | 2× | Active follow-ups, approaching milestones, or pending items | | Cadence | 1.5× | How long since the last recorded interaction relative to the client's assigned touch cadence | | Revenue importance | 1× | Practice value based on seat type and policy count |
Pending connection requests rank above all signals — a client waiting on you is blocking, so those come first (up to 3 inline, with a link to the rest). Signal rows follow, highest combined score first, up to 6 rows total; "View all signals" covers any remainder.
Contacts with no actionable signal are filtered out entirely. A small book gets an honest short list — or an empty one, reading "No clients need attention right now" — rather than rows padded out with contacts who need nothing.
The queue uses the term "cadence check" for contacts who haven't been touched within their assigned window — never judgmental language. A cadence check simply means the contact's rhythm is ready for a touchpoint. The coloured dot on each row codes the kind of signal (anniversary, snapshot, conversion window), never how urgent or how late it is, and every row also names its family in text.
When the Huddle Refreshes
The ranked signals are generated daily at approximately 6:00 AM in your local time zone (based on your profile settings). They refresh once per day — actions you take during the day won't re-rank today's list, but they will influence tomorrow's. Pending connection requests are live and appear as soon as they arrive.
If you log a touchpoint for a contact during the day, that contact's cadence resets and they're less likely to appear tomorrow.
Actions from the Huddle
Each row has one primary action, chosen by signal type, with the rest in the row's ⋯ menu.
Log Touchpoint
The primary action for relationship moments — anniversaries, birthdays, and first milestones — and the fallback for any contact who has no Policy Stack account to open. Records an interaction (call, email, text, meeting, or internal note) without leaving the dashboard; it saves to the client's timeline and resets their cadence clock.
Open
The primary action for everything else — snapshots, blueprints, loan activity, and conversion windows — and takes you to the client's detail page. Blueprint signals deep-link to the blueprint surface.
Review request
The primary action on a connection-request row. Opens a dialog where you accept the client as a Client or a Prospect; Decline (with confirmation) lives in the ⋯ menu.
In the ⋯ menu
Add follow-up, the action that isn't the row's primary, and Dismiss. Dismiss lives only here — there's no stray × on the row to hit by accident.
All of these are disabled while an administrator is viewing your practice, since the API refuses writes during impersonation.
Relationship to Follow-ups
The Today queue and follow-ups are related but distinct:
- Follow-ups are individual action items tied to specific signals or manual entries
- The Today queue is a daily ranking that considers follow-ups alongside cadence and revenue data
A client may appear in the queue because of an active follow-up, because their cadence window has elapsed, or because of their practice importance — or any combination of these factors.
Customization
The queue uses a fixed ranking formula. The weights and the row caps are not configurable. Which signal types can appear IS configurable — Settings → Calendar governs signal visibility. Future updates may add further customization for practices with specialized workflows.
Dismissing Rows
Dismiss an individual row from its ⋯ menu. The row disappears immediately, and the dismissal is recorded against your practice so it survives a refresh or a move to another device.
Dismissals apply to that row, not to the contact — a client with both a birthday signal and a conversion-window signal keeps the second row after you dismiss the first. If the row had a follow-up attached, dismissing it marks that follow-up dismissed too, so it doesn't regenerate.
Dismissals clear when the ranked list next rebuilds (daily). That is deliberate: a signal you set aside this morning is worth re-surfacing tomorrow if it is still true.
The queue itself cannot be hidden — it is the dashboard's primary surface. What it's allowed to show is configurable: Settings → Calendar governs which signal types appear.
