Access Source

Access source describes how a user gained access to a given feature or tier. Policy Stack tracks access source because some Builder Pro features can be accessed either through a direct individual subscription or through an advisor connection.

Access source values:

| Source | Description | |--------|-------------| | Direct | User has their own paid Builder Pro subscription | | Advisor | User's features are enabled through an advisor connection | | Starter | User is on the free Starter tier |

Access source appears on the user's account settings page and is used internally to determine which features are available and which limits apply.

A client connected to an advisor may have access to Builder Pro features even if they don't have a direct subscription — access depends on the advisor's plan and what the advisor has enabled for that client.
