This guide walks you through everything you need to do in your first session as an advisor on Policy Stack. By the end, your profile will be live, your first client invited, and your practice dashboard populated.
What You Will Need
Before you begin, have the following ready:
- A professional headshot for your advisor profile (square, at least 400x400px)
- Your business details — firm name, designations, state licenses, website
- At least one client email address to send your first invitation
- Your own annual statement if you want to set up your personal banking tracker
Step-by-Step Walkthrough
- Complete your advisor profile — navigate to Profile in the advisor sidebar and fill in your name, headshot, firm, bio, designations, and licensed states
- Review your tier — visit Account to confirm your subscription tier and seat allocation
- Set up your personal banking tracker — switch to Consumer view using the context toggle and add your own policy (every advisor gets Builder Pro access)
- Invite your first client — switch back to Advisor view, navigate to Clients, and click Invite Client. Choose whether to connect (free data sharing) or seat (you pay for their Builder Pro)
- Explore the pipeline — open Pipeline to see your deal stages and drag your first client into the appropriate stage
- Check your dashboard — return to the advisor home to see your practice metrics begin populating
- Set up your referral link — go to Referral Link to copy your unique consumer sign-up URL
What You Will See
After completing these steps, your advisor dashboard will show:
- Book magnitude — households under care, lives covered, death benefit placed, and households added this year
- Today queue and weekly band — actionable client signals and the next seven days
- Practice Depth and Client Contact — recorded coverage measures and weekly touchpoint rhythm
- Practice metrics — Estimated Pipeline and recorded policies Placed this year
Your first 30 days are a free trial. Use this time to invite a few clients, explore the CRM, and set up your pipeline stages. No charge until the trial ends.
