Engagement Scoring
Each connected client in your practice receives an engagement score — a number from 0 to 100 that reflects how actively they are using Policy Stack. Engagement scores help you identify clients who may need outreach or support.
What Engagement Measures
The engagement score is a composite of several activity signals, each weighted by recency:
| Signal | Weight | Description | |--------|--------|-------------| | Login frequency | High | How often the client logs in over the trailing 30 days | | Policy snapshots recorded | High | Whether the client is keeping their data current | | Features explored | Medium | Number of distinct features used (policies, deployments, tools, AI) | | Repayment schedules updated | Medium | Whether repayment plans reflect current activity | | AI Chat sessions | Low | Usage of the AI assistant |
Engagement scores reflect platform activity only — they do not measure the client's financial health, progress in their banking system, or any outcome. A lower score means less app usage, not a worse outcome.
Score Ranges
| Range | Label | What It Typically Means | |-------|-------|------------------------| | 75–100 | Active | Logging in regularly, keeping data current | | 40–74 | Moderate | Occasional logins, some features used | | 10–39 | Low | Infrequent logins or sparse data entry | | 0–9 | Inactive | No meaningful activity in the past 30 days |
How Scores Are Calculated
Scores are recalculated nightly. Each signal contributes a weighted sub-score. Recent activity counts more than older activity — a login yesterday matters more than one three weeks ago. The resulting composite is normalized to a 0–100 scale.
Clients who record policy snapshots at least once per quarter tend to have meaningfully higher engagement scores than those who don't. If a client's score drops, checking whether their snapshot data is current is a useful starting point.
Using Scores in Your Practice
The engagement score is a signal to guide your attention, not a performance grade. Common uses:
- Outreach prioritization — sort your client list by engagement score to identify clients who may benefit from a check-in
- Onboarding tracking — new clients often start with low scores; watching the score rise over the first 60 days gives you a sense of whether onboarding is working
- Practice health — a rising average engagement score across your practice suggests clients are finding value in the tool
You can view individual client engagement scores in the Clients list and in the Analytics Dashboard.
