Use Backfill history when a policy has older Base premium or paid-up additions (PUA) payments that are not yet recorded in Policy Stack.
Open the policy, choose Premium Schedule, then select Backfill history. The panel lists scheduled periods that may need a recorded payment. Select the applicable rows, enter the Base and PUA amounts shown by your records, and add a separate row for an off-schedule payment.
Upload a carrier document
Builder Pro can select Upload a statement to read dated premium and PUA payments from a PDF or screenshot. Policy Stack shows the extracted rows before adding them to the backfill grid:
- A row matched to a scheduled period will update that row.
- An unmatched dated payment will be added as a new row.
- A row that could not be read stays identified for review.
- Loan repayments, loan-funded transactions, and other non-premium activity are excluded and reported separately.
Selecting Import rows only fills the editable grid. Nothing is recorded until Save history succeeds. Review dates and amounts against the carrier document before saving because a transaction history may cover only part of the policy's history.
The document reader has been verified against OneAmerica portal transaction-history formatting. Other carrier layouts may not be recognized consistently; use the review grid or manual entry rather than treating an extracted row as carrier-confirmed.
After saving
Saved rows appear in Premium history and the policy's Banking Ledger as recorded premium activity. A document-sourced row keeps its source link. Premium history records what was paid; it does not change the policy's planned schedule, move money, or update carrier autopay.
