Policy-Level Repayment
A policy-level repayment is a single repayment amount recorded from the selected policy context.
It's recorded through the Log repayment Quick Action. The user chooses the policy by nickname, enters one amount, one date, and one set of notes, then reviews the policy-loan and active draw balances before using the saved First in, first out (FIFO) or Equal reduction default, a one-time override, or exact dollars by draw.
Each submitted repayment writes through the loan repayment path so the linked Banking Ledger line appears as a loan repayment.
When to Use It
- You want to select the policy first and review its current draw balances
- You want First in, first out (FIFO) or Equal reduction applied across active draws
- You want exact dollar assignments for specific draws
The per-loan Record repayment dialog stays available for situations where the exact carrier allocation or interest split is known.
What's Written
- One loan_repayments row per affected tracked loan
- Optional loan_repayment_allocations rows for the affected draw buckets
- Updated active draw bucket balances; zero-balance buckets move out of the active draw list
- A linked Banking Ledger entry tagged as a loan repayment
IBLOCs Are Excluded
The distribution math runs across carrier loans tagged to the policy. IBLOCs are tracked separately (their policy_id is null because an IBLOC can span multiple policies) and are not part of the policy-level distribution.
