Capital Velocity Calculator
The Capital Velocity Calculator is a Policy Stack tool that measures and models how fast your capital is cycling through your banking system.
The calculator shows:
- Current velocity — total deployed capital ÷ available cash value
- Velocity trend — how velocity has changed over the past several periods
- Velocity projection — how velocity would change under different deployment or repayment scenarios
Higher velocity is not inherently better — the goal is not to chase velocity but to understand it as a dimension of your banking system's activity level. Velocity combined with spread and repayment discipline gives a fuller picture of system performance.
The velocity calculation uses your current deployment records and snapshot data. If your data is not current, the calculation reflects an older state of your system.
