Tracking a Client Handoff
When you build a Debt Sequencer scenario for a linked client, you can send it to their account. After you send it, the scenario keeps a status line so you can see where the client is, without opening their data.
Sending a Scenario to a Client
-
Open a Client Debt Sequencer scenario from Practice → Scenarios.
-
Choose "Send to client account." For a client Debt Sequencer, you can first import a read-only snapshot of the connected client's current liabilities. The scenario keeps the source IDs and last-updated values, and a later change is flagged as stale until you deliberately refresh the snapshot.
-
The client reviews the handoff in their Payoff Path and accepts or declines it. Opening the shared view or printable view does not accept it.
Reading the Status Line
Once a handoff is sent, the scenario shows its progress:
Sent → Accepted → Setup 3 of 4 → Tracking
- Sent — the handoff is waiting for the client.
- Accepted — the client accepted it and a client-owned Payoff Path was created.
- Setup X of Y — how many applicable setup steps the client has completed: their obligations linked to Liabilities, balances confirmed, a funding source linked (only when the plan uses whole life banking), and the first month recorded. A plan with no funding-source layer completes at 3 of 3.
- Tracking — setup is complete and the client is recording months.
Unmet setup steps are named in general terms, such as "funding source not yet linked" or "first month not yet recorded."
The status line is state only. It shows whether each step is done, not the client's balances, amounts, liability names, or policy details. The client's financial position stays in their account.
