The GoHighLevel connection copies your contacts and one sales pipeline into Policy Stack. It only reads from GoHighLevel. It never changes anything there.
The GoHighLevel connection is available on paid Practice plans.
Step 1: Create a token in GoHighLevel
A Private Integration token is a password that lets Policy Stack read your GoHighLevel account.
- Open the GoHighLevel sub-account you use for this practice. Don’t use the agency view.
- Go to Settings → Private Integrations → Create new integration
- Turn on two permissions: View Contacts and View Opportunities
- Copy the token. It starts with pit-.
- Copy the sub-account’s Location ID
The token has to come from the sub-account. The two permissions Policy Stack needs only exist there. A token made in the agency view is rejected.
Step 2: Connect it in Policy Stack
- Open Practice Tools → Integrations
- Paste the token into Private Integration token
- Paste the Location ID
- Choose Validate and connect
Policy Stack tests both permissions before it saves anything. It saves the token encrypted.
Step 3: Set up your pipeline
- Pick one GoHighLevel pipeline
- Match each stage to a Policy Stack stage, or choose Skip — do not guess
- Tick Marks a won deal on the stage you use for closed business
- Choose Confirm pipeline setup
Confirming starts the first sync. There’s no other step.
- Skip — do not guess means Policy Stack ignores deals in that stage. It never guesses where an unmatched stage belongs.
- Marks a won deal records a deal as won in Policy Stack. It doesn’t change a policy, and it doesn’t send anything to GoHighLevel.
What happens next
Policy Stack reads your GoHighLevel sub-account once a day. New contacts wait for you to review them. See GoHighLevel sync and contact review.
Replace the token
If you make a new token in GoHighLevel, paste it into the card and choose Validate and replace. Your connection changes only after the new token passes both checks.
Disconnect
Choose Disconnect on the GoHighLevel card. Policy Stack deletes the token it saved and stops future syncs. Your Policy Stack records stay.
To shut the token off completely, also delete the Private Integration inside GoHighLevel.
