Academy lets you publish courses that clients take inside Policy Stack. Academy is initially available to US practices and US learners; Canadian access is not available yet.
- Go to Practice → Academy, name your Academy and select Create Academy.
- Add Academy to your Practice bill: $49 a month on the same bill as your Practice plan. The first charge covers only the days until your next Practice bill. You need a paid Practice plan. An agency's Academy goes on the agency owner's Practice bill once, not once per member.
- Add your logo, colors, instructors and welcome message in the Settings tab.
- Create a course and add modules and lessons: video, text, quizzes, downloads or a link to a Policy Stack tool.
- Publish the course. Unpublish it any time; people already enrolled keep access.
A new Academy becomes the one your clients see, unless you already chose another.
Paid courses
Connect Stripe under Academy billing → Course payments. Buyers pay through Stripe and the payment goes to your Stripe account. Policy Stack takes no fee; Stripe’s processing fees apply. If you set up tax on your Stripe account, checkout adds it to the buyer’s total; if you don’t, checkout adds none. Either way, you are responsible for any tax due on your sales. The Sales list shows what each buyer paid, including any tax, and a refund returns all of it.
Choose your refund policy in Settings: all sales final, or refunds within 7, 14 or 30 days. Buyers see it before they pay. A buyer inside the window can request a refund; it comes to you by email and shows on the Sales list. Respond within 5 business days. Refund from that list and the buyer's access ends. A partial refund made in Stripe keeps their access. A refunded buyer can buy the course again and keeps their progress. Outside the refund window, Contact the creator points buyers to the contact details on their Stripe receipt.
