Using the Pre-Call Blueprint
The Pre-Call Blueprint is a structured client intake inside a client profile's Discovery tab. It records the client's picture, goals, protection context, and mindset before a conversation, while keeping advisor-private notes separate.
Send the Intake
- Open Practice -> Clients and select the client or prospect.
- Open Discovery and find the Blueprint section.
- Select Send blueprint to client. After a response exists, the action reads Request blueprint update.
- Add an optional personal message.
- Choose Send email or Copy link.
The contact needs an email address before the invite controls are available. Email delivery and copied links use the same intake flow.
The Link Stays Open for 30 Days
Each Blueprint link remains usable for 30 days. The client can reopen the same link after sending their first response to finish or update client-owned sections during that window. Submission records a milestone; it does not consume the link.
Sending or copying a fresh invite revokes the previous active link for that Blueprint, so only the newest link remains active.
What a Returning Client Can Change
Blueprint ownership is tracked by section:
- An empty section can be filled by the client.
- A section last written by the client can be updated through the reusable link.
- A section owned by the advisor is preserved and is not overwritten by a client submission.
The merge happens at section level, not field by field. Existing saved Blueprint content stays in place when an advisor requests an update.
Review the Result
After submission, Policy Stack records a client timeline event and sends the advisor a notification. In the Blueprint read view, the advisor can:
- Review answers section by section
- Mark a section reviewed
- Add advisor-private notes that are not part of the client intake
- Open the Prep Brief, which can use the recorded Blueprint as factual client context
Sensitive Blueprint sections are encrypted at rest. The Blueprint records what the client and advisor enter; it does not verify the answers or provide advice.
