Net Worth figures are as current as the balances you record. Balance update reminders tell you when a figure you record yourself has not been updated for a while.
What gets a reminder
- Assets, liabilities, and Net Worth accounts you record yourself
- A property and the loans recorded against it share one reminder and one combined update
- Connected accounts that update from your institution, paid-off or closed items, and hidden accounts never get one
- Promissory notes are not included — their value follows the note's payment schedule in Note Tracker
Choosing the schedule
- Open Settings → Notifications.
- Under Net Worth, set Balance update frequency: Monthly, Quarterly (default), Yearly, or Off.
- To give one item its own schedule, open that asset, liability, or account and use Balance update reminder.
When it appears
An item comes due one period after its value, balance, or payment was last recorded. It shows in Upcoming on the dashboard 7 days before that date and stays until you update it. After the date it reads Update due since {date} — it is about how recent the figure is, not about your finances.
Update, No change, Skip this time
- Update opens the usual recording dialog (or the combined sheet for a property and its loans).
- No change records the same figure again, dated today.
- Skip this time hides the reminder until the next scheduled date. Nothing is recorded.
Notices
On the due date each household member gets one in-app notice per item, or one summary when more than three come due together. Email for these notices is off by default and can be turned on in Settings → Notifications.
